Geneva motor show

Geneva has been always vital motor show in the automotive calendar. Auto companies focus to show new technologies, design elements and language. Some of the trends we have picked up from this year’s show is as follows.
Exterior design trends
Dual tonality is the one of the strongest trends.  The unique idea of splitting the car body into two tone for highlighting features, elements and details . Car models like Renault Captur, Kia provo  and Pininfarina Sergio concept have applied dual tonality in a new way.  This kind of treatment gives cars more lighter feeling and adds more dynamism.
Graphics line gap feature is a new trend that we have seen. Interestingly in the past gaps or larger spaces in  between body panels was seen as bad manufacturing as well as design quality. However treating gaps between body panels as graphic element is more intelligent way of disguising them.  We have seen supercars like La Ferrari, MclarenP1  treating their bodywork in this new way. Surely it will inspire automakers to look at this new trend.
Lamps with vent is new way to make cars look clean and simple. With ever-growing technology complicated details like this are possible and designers can go crazy with their design ideas.
Interior Design trend
Floating interior surfaces is the only strong design trend we have seen in the interiors. This days interiors gaining  more attention in terms of surfaces treatment and complex forms. One of the designers dream is to create to interiors with layered sensuality, with this advancement in design engineering , ideas like this will take shape in future.
