Detroit Auto Show 2013

We are pleased to present you our coverage on the Detriot auto show 2013. We would take quick overview on this years much awaited cars like Mercedes CLA, Corvettte, Acura NSX and Ford atlas concept.

Acura NSX

Mixed reactions and feelings are the things to describe about this car. However we feel this car has gone through right thought process. Right amount of crazy styling, Proper emphasis on design functional element. It is proper athletic Japanese hyper car. Honestly we should leave upto people to judge what this car has really to offer?

Hyundai HCD 14 Genesis

 Hyundai HCD 14-genesis concept presented during LA Auto show is classic example of how brands can be lost with its brand language strategy. Mr Peter Schreyer has championed the design form stradegy for Kia in masterful way.Hyundai 14 HCD-genesis looks to be fast food recipe with special ingredients from Audi and BMW. Design wise you can't really say anything because it seems like you ask design intern to sketch non-Hyundai looking car but it must feel like Hyundai. I guess designers forgot to intrepret last bit. I hope with Mr Schreyer taking over the reins for Hyundai. He will realign strategically both the brands Kia and Hyundai and give more importance to originality of ideas.

 Mercedes CLA 

Mercedes CLA is nothing but extended A-Class with boot. It seems that Mercedes are finding new ways to diversify their portfolio. However the resultant is new niche in itself, which is good in some way. Definitely will be more affordable since it will be priced much lower to any model in the current line-up.

Ford Atlas concept

Ford Atlas concept is definitely a special thing that happened in this event giving us the hint of what would be the next F-150 model. Absolutely honest design, pure surface resolution, consistency of details and lastly impeccable design composition. Designers always dream of making super hot looking sportcars but i guess the amount of challenge in designing this vehicle is so immense. Its non-nonsensical approach to design but without compromising on looks. Powerful well rounded arches provides strength to the side view. The front grille is intimidating and sends firm message. The hood is pumped with tough looking volumes to indicate the solid front engine. Well balanced design proportions with active stance makes it look a good buy to go for. We are hopeful this production car does not compromise a bit anywhere and hits the road soon.

Corvette C7 stingray

Corvette are the symbol of America's way of doing sportcars. Views can be little subjective on how a sportcar should be.We believe this brash and crude way of creating exciting machine that just does one thing pure aggressive driving. Design is definitely more refined and dashing but with distinct corvette silhoutte. Clean bodyside, long hood to emphasis mighty power plant in the front, headlamps injected with heavy doses of modernism and Rear is neatly chopped at ends adding surprise. The cabin is short with seats sitting deep creating feeling of fighter jet. The side has strong light-catcher element which gives balanced side view.

We hope this creates new vigour among the corvette fan base.
